We have been involved in the organisation and delivery of high quality seminars for many years, providing independent generic advice on all aspects of personal financial planning from childhood investments to equity release plans from simple Wills to Inheritance Tax planning from Death in Service to the latest Life Insurance plans with tax relief.

Our aim is simply to educate attendees on the chosen subject matter, thus enabling them to make an informed decision as to whether they might benefit from taking appropriate action, or what future action may be in their best interests, or indeed their attendance reaffirms and reassures them that action which they have already implemented was correct. Due to the nature of the presentations, it would be improper for us to suggest to attendees that they should act simply upon the information provided, however, if they would like to discuss their personal circumstances in private and without obligation they are offered the opportunity to arrange an appointment with one of our specialist advisers.     

You may be interested to learn that we have recently been providing free of charge, presentations within the Halton Borough Mental Health Service in Cheshire, specifically with Powers of Attorney in mind whilst not ignoring other areas of estate planning.

The presentations have been very well received and ultimately beneficial for those who have attended, clients and staff alike and we have, and continue, to enjoy presenting them immensely.

Presentations can be bespoke, specific or generic in substance dependent on the host’s aims and requirements.

As previously aluded to, topics covered can range from, as you would expect, Wills, Powers of Attorney etc. through Long Term Care issues to Generic financial planning, including money management (domestic), Life Insurance, Savings, Investments and Pensions. Debt management, credit cards, loans, including mortgages, state benefits. In respect of Pre-Retirement seminars, we are often asked to include specialist guest speakers especially with a view to providing information and advice on relationships in retirement, keeping active, personal welfare and both mental and physical health. 

Seminars can incorporate any or all of the above, though bear in mind the time you the host would wish to allot to any provision, as whilst a lot can be achieved in an afternoon, it can be unfair on attendees to expect them to sit through some fairly heavy-duty topics and retain their concentration levels. Particularly if you are considering arranging a Pre-or Post Retirement seminar, for these we would recommend a minimum of two days be set aside.

And the cost? We have a two tier cost structure: -

1)       If invited by the public sector, we are Fee Free (excluding charges made by external speakers) as we recognise the importance of such provisions and how financially stretched our public services are.

2)       When retained by the private sector, we charge the simple rate of £10.00 per attendee per presentation (excluding charges made by external speakers) with the minimum number of attendees being 10.   

We also welcome invitations to present to Charities, Private Care Groups and Social Clubs such as the Lions, Round Table or WRVS and the like, again on a no fee basis.
